OUR FEEDING HOME, Daily a each of our two (2) homes at TS Cruz and Wawa, children ages 2-6 visit to have a meal. To date we have 45-50 participants in each center who avail of this service daily. Our community mothers cook daily for the children a nutrition supervised meal.
RoVFI currently supports 32 Private School Students enrolled in various schools in the metropolis, from grade school to collegiate level. Also, in our home we run an alternative per-school for 30 children in the nursery and junior kinder level in cooperation with ED Link Foundation. Our benefactors have constantly provided us with the means to support the program by contributing for expenses such as transportation, clothing, supply, cultural trips and daily food allowances.
RoVFI has partnered with Punlaan School, a non-stock, non-profit organization established to direct and provide professional training in the areas of home, institutional services, hospitality, technology and management. They provide a holistic education and training to your women with few means to provide them with livelihood and employment skills, work attitude and Christian values that contribute to the economic, social and spirit upliftment.
Making good use of time is fostered at RoVFI each summer vacation. In the month of April-May,a 6-week program is run to assist the children in spending productive time in classes of Art & Crafts, Dance, Greening and Sports. This period is also a time that professionals and friends connect with the community to share their time and talent. It is always a fruitful period for RoVFI as our Christmas products are conceptualized at this time. Check out our calendar and planner.
"the extraordinary is part of everyday life."
RoVFI initiated in 2011 the parent chat program for the education beneficiaries. This is a venue each quarter of the School Year that parents and RoVFI management meet up and discuss individually the child's progress in his/her education. Its aim is to address immediately any concerns of the child that need to be acted on. It is also a time to praise and congratulate excelling parents and children in the program. This one-on-one activity fosters open communication and shows commitment of RoVFI parents to the education and progress of a child.
RoVFI fosters cultural field trips to help the children discover who they are as Filipinos. Heritage tours, a visit to the museum, a peak into the oceanarium... open their minds to the world around them.
RoVFI hosts a one-day mass marriage for parents from our educational and feeding beneficiaries. On our 3rd year, we have facilitated at least four marriages annually. The program encourages the parents to consider receiving the sacrament of matrimony to further strengthen their marital relationship.A mini family reception is also hosted at the RoVFI Home after each ceremony, celebrating the union.
The holidays are an opportune time to give and receive. Today, in its 4th year, our Make a Wish project has been an occasion for the community. Our colleagues and friends to weave their lives with our beneficiaries and share valuable time together and to bring joy to our children.
